Born and raised in Los Angeles, Sammi has been running around backstage since she was a kid. She discovered her love for the performing arts and design at an early age, taking art and design classes, performing in theatre productions and visiting any and all museums. She studied Interior Design and Theatre, which eventually led to getting her MFA in Production Design from the American Film Institute.

Sammi has worked on a wide range of projects and genres, including feature films and short films, single-camera and multi-camera television, live television and award shows, commercials, events and parties, music videos and web content.

Recent projects include: The Iron Claw (A24 Feature), American Crime Story: Impeachment and Prom (both Ryan Murphy productions), Twenties (created by Lena Waithe) and The Voice (NBC Universal).

In 2023, Sammi took over Mr Scenic, her family’s scenery construction business and has been designing projects, overseeing builds and running the shop. She is using her skills and relationships from Production Designing and Art Directing to expand the network of the business and continue on her own creative path.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, painting, seeing shows and visiting any and all museums.
